Q What is your feel of the market post your India trip? What promise and potential does the Indian market offer for Teledyne Products?
Clearly the Indian aviation market is one of the fastest growing markets in our industry, and we at Teledyne are optimistic that this growth will present a number of challenging opportunities. With the large number of startup airlines operating in a very competitive environment, effectively managing cost and streamlining operational efficiencies will be critical to these airlines' success. Some of Teledyne's products can assist the airlines in these areas, therefore directly affecting their respective bottom lines.
Q Can you share with us some general information about the company and your wide product range?
Since 1964, Teledyne Controls has been an industry leader in designing and manufacturing avionics and ground-related electronic systems. The company has delivered, installed, and supported over 50,000 ship sets in a multitude of aircraft types that include all models of Airbus and Boeing transport aircraft as well as most business & commuter, and military aircraft.
Some of major Teledyne’s global airline customers include Air Canada, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Japan Airlines find their way as most valued and satisfied clients. The company has recently appointed Max AeroSpace & Aviation Ltd as its representative for the Indian Sub continent.

Q How do you see your relationship with Max AeroSpace strengthening Teledyne's market share in the Indian context?
With Teledyne being relatively new to the Indian market, we are happy that Max Aerospace has already begun to extend Teledyne's reach and open new doors for us.
Q Could you explain your plans to provide greater customer support for the existing and new Teledyne products range?
As Teledyne's product content in India continues to increases, we plan to not only use our existing regional support personnel, but also draw on the expertise of Max Aerospace as required.
Q Which are your broad product categories that have already found ready acceptability in various airlines and which new products you plan to introduce here?
Teledyne's Data Acquisition Systems are already being utilized by several airlines in India. One of Teledyne's newer products that can significantly contribute to both efficiency and safety is the Wireless Groundlink QAR. And when used in conjunction with the AirFASE Flight Data Analysis and reporting tool, a seamless FOQA system is created, delivering immediate information to the airlines' Engineering and Safety staff.
